I took a photo of this child on a trip to Asia. Then I thought about her again after the tsunami. This painting has been juried into "Art Connections 11" at the George Segal Gallery in Montclair N J. It was also featured at the Caelum Gallery in NY Art Week 2017.

This painting was inspired by the refugee crisis. It shows a child who is facing an uncertain future while clinging to the hand of an adult. There is anxiety and also hope. It was featured in "Shelter", an exhibit presented by the National Association of Women Artists and Violence Transformed.
